And it Begins.....

The first weddings are merely days away now! During our hectic schedule we have found the time to sit back, realx (for a minute!) and share with you the events we have over this cold Easter weekend.

The first wedding of the year takes place on Easter Sunday at Ufton Court for a lovely couple named Sofie and Dominic. They are having a menu that involves a variety of canapes, sharing platters that include guinea fowl, pork and mushroom rillette, smoked mackerel pate, grilled courgettes and more! This will then be followed by a French onion soup Amuse Bouche, Venison, and a duo dessert of dark chocolate torte and mini lemon custard tart.

Easter Monday then sees an exciting Wedding that will focus on a Sri Lankan themed walking starter that will include Samosas, Dhal Vadai and Kothu Pittu. The breakfast will be just as delicious, featruing chicken breast coated in sesame seed and spiced crust with spicy sauce, and a trio of desserts including chocolate and mint mousse, passion fruit pavlova and lemon tart. Guests arriving in the evening will be treated to an array of homemade curries including Chicken and Sweet Pepper Karahi and Mutton and Sweet Potato. During the evening the guests will have a number of homemade cocktails including Yellow Jacket, Bouquet of Roses and Virgin Passionfruit Mojito. Exciting times!

Charity Season is Upon Us!

Wednesday marks the beginning of the charity events at the Royal Berkshire Shooting School (RBSS). As always, this is a busy period for The Pot Kiln Anywhere!

Next week will see 101 guests arrive at RBSS for a day of shooting, eating and fundraising. As per usual, PKA are providing a mouth watering menu. The guests will be treated to smoked salmon, beef and garlic mash as well as sticky toffee pudding. Let's hope some good money is raised for charity!

In other PKA news, we have been busy taking bookings for this year and next, hosting tastings and getting ourselves ready for the new wedding season as well!

Busy Busy Busy!

It's that time of year when the days start getting longer and the nights start getting shorter. And I'm not talking about the weather!

For all of us down at The Pot Kiln Anywhere the start of Spring brings with it an influx of events in all shapes and sizes.

Our chefs were busy in the kitchen on Friday night preparing savoury and sweet canapes for 180 people! An endless supply of food and Champagne made for a very good party indeed, and was enjoyed by all.

Saturday saw the PKA taking a trip to Windsor to cater for St. John Beaumont's School 125 Year Anniversary Charity Event. 200 people took to what was a very well disgusied sports hall for the evening. The food was good, the music was good, and so was the dancing!

We have lots of corporate and charity days coming up at the Royal Berkshire Shooting School as well as the beginning of wedding season and of course some Decision Making Dinners! Keep checking the blog for more news and photos.
